Group classes are the easiest way to start at Plus2 — but some people want the whole session built around them. That's what 1-on-1 personal training is for: one coach, your goals, and a plan that adapts every single week. It's the fastest, most personal path we offer, and it's led by coaches who've competed at the highest levels of their sport.
When 1-on-1 is the right call
Small-group classes are coached, effective, and affordable — and for most people, they're plenty. Private training is worth the step up when your goal is specific or your situation needs individual attention:
- You have a clear target — a sport, a position, a lift, a body-composition goal — and want a program built only for it.
- You're an athlete who needs focused position work, speed development, or softball skills on your own schedule.
- You're coming back from an injury or a long break and want one coach watching every rep until you're confident.
- Your schedule is tight and the fixed class times don't line up with your week.
One coach. Your goals. A plan that changes as you do.
Train with a coach who's been there
The Plus2 staff isn't a rotation of anonymous trainers. Each coach brings real playing and coaching experience, and 1-on-1 sessions are arranged directly with the coach who fits your goals:
Because every 1-on-1 plan is built around you, sessions are scheduled directly with your coach rather than through the class checkout. The fastest way to start is a quick call or text — tell us your goal and we'll match you with the right coach and time.
Prefer to start in a group?
Plenty of people warm up with a class or two before going private — it's a low-pressure way to meet the coaches and see the room. Your first small-group class is $30, and you can add 1-on-1 work whenever you're ready. Athletes can also start with the 4-week speed & agility pack or softball training.
Personal training FAQ
Do you offer personal training in Edison, NJ?
Yes. Plus2 Performance offers private 1-on-1 personal training in Edison at 216 Tingley Ln — general fitness, football and athlete performance, speed and agility, and softball. Sessions are arranged directly with the coach who fits your goals.
How is 1-on-1 different from the group classes?
Group classes follow one coached plan for the whole room. 1-on-1 training is built entirely around you — your goals, your schedule, and your starting point — with a single coach's full attention every session.
How do I book a session?
Call or text 732-808-6544, or reach out through a specific coach's profile. Because sessions are scheduled directly with each coach, a quick message telling us your goal is the fastest way to start.
Can you train youth and high-school athletes 1-on-1?
Yes. Private sessions are a great fit for athletes who want focused position work, speed development, or softball skills on their own schedule — in addition to or instead of the group packs.
